Objectives of the course:
- To make the learners aware of the humanist dimension of literature and media in the contemporary world.
- To enable the learners to understand concepts like Globalisation, Commercialisation and Intellectual Property rights through New Literatures.
- To inculcate the spirit of universal brotherhood by presenting critiques of race, xenophobia, war and national borders.
- To disseminate knowledge about the rights of minorities such as children, animals and the disabled and thus create a positive change in the societal perspectives towards them.
